Providing a safe dance visit can best be accomplished when home and studio work together. Information is SUBJECT TO CHANGE EVERYDAY. If needed, will update via Constant Contact.

  • Do not attend class if anyone in immediate family is sick with a fever or COVID positive.
  • Parents know their children best. Students should not attend class if you suspect they are not feeling well, have a cough, or respiratory type symptoms.
  • Encourage students to social distance when entering studio.
  • If possible, use restroom, wash hands, check temp, before you send your child to class.
  • Bring personal water bottle. No access to water fountains.
  • A parent may enter to do business at reception window or accompany a young child to class.
  • Contact director immediately if student tests positive for COVID.
  • Touchless hand sanitizers are located inside each studio for use before and after class.
  • Studio floors are marked for social distancing. Max 15 in larger studio. Max 8 in studio 3.
  • Wipe downs in studios and bathrooms between classes.
  • Will open doors at exact class time. Will dismiss one at a time to enforce social distancing.
  • No waiting in lobby for anyone. Restrooms open to dancers only.
  • Teacher will call parent to come pick up student if student exhibits concerning symptoms.
  • Masks are required for everyone coming and going in studio. Masks are strongly recommended for class activity but may be optional if needed.
  • Upon notification that a student as tested positive, parents, of students who attended class with the student, will be notified. Notifications will include all co-attended classes for up to two days prior from the day the test was administered. Parent are then urged to follow advice of their health care provider. The COVID positive student may return to classes upon the advice of the health care provider with a note signed by parent stating medical clearance and/or provider’s signature.

Established in 1980, TDS is known for its commitment to dance education in Rutherford County. We value our traditions and yet always endeavor to introduce innovation and imagination into our teaching techniques and dance productions.

Our class atmospheres are a unique combination of fun, challenge, and discipline at all age and experience levels. Our facility consists of three fully equipped studios and a music editing studio. Jordan Tate, Assistant Director, provides music editing, mixing, and production services for TDS and other outside clients including school dance teams and other dance studios.
